Twitter has already announced the relaunch of its paid blue tick badge, which will be included in the Twitter Blue subscription, but now, the company’s new CEO, Elon Musk, has revealed a new twist to it.
The paid tick badge is also coming in two new colors along with the original blue badge, and they are split into three for different types of accounts, so let’s discuss all the available details regarding it.
Twitter Will Start Selling Verified Badges Again From Next Week
As someone asked a query to Elon Musk via Tweet reply regarding the badge’s relaunch on Twitter, so he replied to him and provided some major details, such as a delay in this relaunch and the exact day of release.
Musk noted that there would be two new verified badges: the Gold color check and the Grey color check, whose concept you can see in the above image, and the blue check will stay the same.
Besides, there’s a reason behind these new color badges, and it is not like users will have the choice to select which color they want by just paying $8 per month.
Sorry for the delay, we’re tentatively launching Verified on Friday next week.
Gold check for companies, grey check for government, blue for individuals (celebrity or not) and all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before check activates.
Painful, but necessary.

The Gold check is only for the Twitter accounts of companies and brands so that everyone on Twitter can easily identify companies or businesses’ accounts.
Now head to the next, which is the Grey check; this check is only for the accounts that are related to government or politics.
And the OG blue check will not be limited to any special category as it is for individuals, even if it’s a celebrity, artist, or anyone. They just have to pay $8 monthly to keep it on their Twitter account.
Earlier, it was expected to arrive on 29th November, but now, Musk noted that it would arrive next Friday, which means 2nd December. Besides, Musk has also mentioned that this change is necessary for the relaunch.
