Today, Apple has released iOS 15.6 Beta 1, macOS 12.5 Beta 1, and iPadOS 15.6 Beta 1 for developers.
Previously, just 2 days back, Apple released iOS 15.5 & iPadOS 15.5 stable updates with a few major fixes and improvements.
We can expect Apple to unveil iOS 16 and macOS 13 at WWDC 2022 on June 6, and its beta testing for developers will likely begin immediately after this. And some weeks later, the iOS 16 and macOS 13 public betas will arrive, but it’s heading with iOS 15 next update for right now.
What’s New in iOS 15.6 First Beta
Apple began releasing the subsequent betas just after the previous release. As of now, nothing new features or fixes have been spotted, and the company also didn’t specify anything new in its release notes.
We can assume this update to be minor update for iOS users because this might launch in upcoming two months so more focus will ahead on iOS 16 features. Despite this, I can say that it will release in July according past attemps.
Recent update 15.5 was mainly highlights its Apple Cash & Podcast features and improvements. You can also check out iOS 15.6 beta 1 release notes.
If we notice past release timeline, iOS 14 ends at 14.8 with also an immediate update 14.8.1. We can expect iOS 15 might ends with the same in September and iOS 16 will release.
You can also download and experience the beta 1 of 15.6, if you are enrolled in Apple’s developer beta program. To install go to the Settings app and then click on General and head to Software Update. Now finally click on Download and Install it.
