Snapchat has introduced a new feature, “Shared Stories.” It is an evolution of the current “custom Stories” feature that lets you create story and then invite friends to collaborate.
With the Shared Stories feature, more people can collaborate on the story created by you. The company announced this feature on its official blog and said the aim is to help the users turn shared moments into shared memories.
This new feature works quite simple, similar to any other story that is shared on Snapchat. Shared Stories will also disappear after 24 hours.

When you post a story, you can select friends who can complement it with more photos or videos. Also, the same friends and ask others to complement.
How to Create Shared Story on Snapchat?
On your Snapchat app, head to your profile and tap on the new story option. Then select the “Shared Story” option. Just like all other stories sent, the snaps sent to Shared Story are also deleted after 24 hours.
However, there is no chat component for Shared Stories. Moreover, the app will notify users if they have joined Shared Story with someone they have blocked. It allows users to remain in control of whom they share the content.
In a blog post, Snap said, “Today, we’re introducing Shared Stories, a new way for Snapchatters to build community around the content they love to snap. With this next generation Story, we’re hoping to help Snapchatters turn shared moments into shared memories.”
This new feature rolled out after a few weeks after the company announced several new features. Snap has announced a few features like Director Mode, which aims to provide easier access to users for creative tools to publish videos.
Snapchat also announced new initiatives using its AR technology to aid with online shopping. Apart from this, the company is introducing a new in-app destination within the app called “Dress Up.” It will have AR Fashion and virtual try-on experiences.
