After, The Metaverse, Meta wants to introduce NFTs to its Instagram, which the company chiefs have officially confirmed. Testing will begin this week but only for limited creators.
Recently, Meta-owned Instagram also got a new product tagging feature that allows every US user to tag products in their posts like influencers.
A couple of months ago, In a podcast, Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg indicated that the NFTs are soon coming to our Instagram so NFTs owners can easily showcase them on their profiles. Now it is arriving to use.
Instagram Will Soon Introduce NFTs Segment for Everyone
On Monday, Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced that NFTs are coming to Instagram in some months. However, from the next week, some of the selected creators in the United States will test this ability to make the company improve it more.

This week we’re beginning to test digital collectibles with a handful of US creators and collectors who will be able to share NFTs on Instagram. There will be no fees associated with posting or sharing a digital collectible on IG.

In terms of Mosseri, Instagram focuses on creators to provide them with excellent functionality and a way to earn money from their skills through the platform. Instagram’s digital collectible development keeps Web3 and other future technologies in mind.
Also, Mosseri stated that this new feature is not associated with any fees or charges. This free ability will allow creators and people to share their NFTs in the main Instagram feed, Stories, or messages. There is also a separate section on the profile for digital collectibles.
With its functionality, there will be a tag of digital collectibles which might be related to show its current owner and creator. Importantly, Ethereum and Polygon are the supported blockchains for showcasing NFTs on Instagram.
In the future, we might see more blockchains. The Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase, Dapper, and Phantom are coming soon as the third-party wallets compatibility.
Besides, on the same day, Mark Zuckerberg announced the same NFTs functionality for Facebook. Soon after the testing on Instagram, it will also expand to other Meta family apps. Zuckerberg also stated about 3D NFTs with their Augmented reality.
